Annika Halcomb | Deshler High School Senior
Last Sunday I had the privilege of shooting with the beautiful Annika Halcomb. I had never met Annika before we got together to shoot her senior portraits, but it didn't take long at all for me to feel an instant connection with her. Annika is so welcoming and comforting to talk to. She has a way about her that is rare and beautiful. I also learned that she is not only easy on the eyes, but easy on the ears as well. Annika is an incredible classical singer, and I cannot wait to see where that road leads her on this beautiful journey.
What is your favorite memory from high school?
“My favorite memories from high school all came Friday night football games. I know that sounds very cliche, but the atmosphere and the people are just awesome. Getting all dressed up for the theme of the week, standing in the student section cheering, popping confetti when your team scores, and dancing to the band songs- there’s nothing else like it.” - Annika
What are your hobbies?
“I love to sing. I sing all of the time, whether I'm in choir class at school, driving down the road, or in the shower. I love it so much that I’ve deciding to make a career out of it.” - Annika
What are your plans for after graduation?
“My plans after graduation are to attend either the University of North Alabama or the University of Montevallo. I want to major in Choral Education and minor in counseling or something in that area.” - Annika
Who has been the most influential person in your life?
“The most influential person in my life has been my choir director of 6 years, Mr. Peter Wilder. He has helped me with so much in my life, and he has helped guide me through a lot of big decisions and tough times in my life. He is the one who inspired me to become a music teacher one day, and he has helped me grow my love for music tremendously.” - Annika

I pray that You continue to guide Annika carefully down this beautiful path You have designed for her. I know that it is unique and wonderful, and I cannot wait to see her flourish in Your Glory. I thank You for blessing Your people with these beautiful talents, and allowing us to see glimpses of Heaven through them. I pray that You use Annika and her talents to bring others into Your Kingdom. Thank You for blessing me with such a wonderful new friend.
