Anna Bevis | University of North Alabama Senior

This shoot was fun. Really fun. That’s one of many words I would use to describe it- all great. It just felt right. I had a beautiful girl, an adorable pup, perfect weather, and grade A lighting. What more can you ask for? I also have caught myself feeling a little extra thankful for all of the colors that spring brings with it, this spring especially.

I will say, I loved working with Anna more than any of it. Anna just feels warm to be around. She’s confident, energetic, and really just excited about life. She has worked hard to earn her Nursing degree from the University of North Alabama and hopes to one day soon be serving people in an E.R.

I have so many friends who are nurses and I’ve always admired them for devoting their lives to serving others. I have to say though that now, with everything going on in our world, I have an even greater appreciation for our medical workers who put themselves at risk on a daily basis in order to help us. So Anna, thank you for proving your selflessness even more with your decision to become a nurse. I also want to thank any other medical field worker who may be reading this for his or her dedication through this time.

“I chose my degree because growing up my mom was also a nurse and I was always surrounded by these amazing nurses that I have as role models today. My mom passed away in 2008 and during this journey of becoming a nurse, I have never felt closer to her and her spirit. This year I was blessed with the opportunity to work alongside her coworkers as well as some of her dearest friends in the Cath Lab. This was when it all came together for me and all of the doubt and uncertainty that nursing school brought me went out the window and I knew I was in the right place. Nursing for me brings me closer to her memory and is also the truest form of being a servant to my community. I truly believe God led me to nursing to serve.” - Anna

At our next location, Anna pointed out her bracelet that she was wearing. It read “infinity squared” in her mother’s handwriting. I thought that was the most beautiful piece of jewelry, and I admire Anna all the more for who she has become despite some of the trials she has faced along the way. Her mom would be so proud!

Lord,

I pray that You bless sweet Anna as she ventures into this next chapter in her book. I pray that You guide her with Your wisdom, and bless her with Your peace along the way. I thank You for allowing me to cross paths with such special people, and I pray that I never take that for granted. You created Anna to have the most beautiful soul, and I feel confident that there is a reason You have led her to Nursing. I cannot wait to see the lives that she changes as she carries out Your plan for her.

Amen.
