Colby Richardson | Muscle Shoals High School Senior

My first senior session of 2021!!!

I am so stinkin’ excited for 2021. I can just feel the spring energy in the air and everyone seems to be feeling to it too. This year is going to bring some super bad-to-the-bone content, and we had a strong start with this session. Colby Richardson is the freaking cutest. If you follow my work much, you know that I (for some reason) tend to shoot mostly females. I’m not sure why that is, but Colby really made me second guess my target market for a second. He is exploding with personality and confidence. He just has that way about him that the cool boy in high school has, and I was fully down for capturing it with my camera. I hope that he looks back on these with fond memories one day.

I also love when my seniors want to incorporate their hobbies or personal interests into their sessions, and Colby hit it all with his football gear and duck hunting attire. I love making it as personal and genuine to that person as I can! Why not when you’re documenting such a fun, fleeting time of life.

“My junior year football season was the best part of high school for me. It was really awesome going undefeated during regular season and being one of the best teams in the state.” - Colby

“Either my dad or my brother Taylor have been the most influential people in my life. They both have taught me a lot. They have taught me things I need to know for when I graduate, and they really opened my eyes up about things I wanted to pursue during and after college.” - Colby

“I was really surprised by how fun shooting my senior portraits actually was. Mackenzie made it seem as if she wanted to do it rather than if she was just being payed to do it.” - Colby

Lord,

I thank You for a new year. I thank You for warm weather, sunshine, and all of the joyful things that Spring brings along. I thank You for the newfound optimism that now seems to be in the air. I thank You for my time with my clients. I pray that You bless Colby as he continues along the path You so perfectly designed for him. I pray that he finds You in the most simplistic of ways, and that he never doubts Your Presence in his life. Please help guide him throughout the next few years- give him Peace when he faces struggles, and the purest of Joy when he has success. Stay close to him, he’s a special one.

Amen.
