Macon Bates | Deshler High School Senior

I had never met Macon Bates before shooting her senior portraits, which is always a somewhat anxious feeling for a photographer. A photoshoot heavily depends on the client’s personality and comfort level in front of a camera. What a lovely surprise sweet Macon was.

Macon is soft spoken, but bold. She is humble, but confident. She absolutely made my entire weekend and she didn’t even know it. Some of my very favorite photos I’ve shot this spring are sprinkled throughout this blog post- enjoy!

“I have many favorite memories from my time at Deshler High School, but some of my favorite memories are dressing up and going to football and basketball games, running cross country races, and spending time with friends.” - Macon

“I am thankful to have many influential people in my life, but the most influential person in my life is my mom. She is my best friend, biggest supporter, and personal stylist. She also helps me whenever I am in need whether that be with school or extracurricular activities. She also pushes me to be the best version of myself and to be a kind person to everyone.” - Macon

“My favorite times are when I am running with my friends. In my spare time, I enjoy painting and listening to my favorite songs on my record player.” - Macon

“I plan to go to Martin Methodist to run cross country. I also plan to major in mortuary science and become a mortician.” - Macon

Lord,

I pray that You guard Macon’s gentle spirit. Keep it pure and bright- don’t allow the world to phase it. She is destined for greatness, and I can only imagine what all You have in store for her. I pray that while she’s away, other’s see You in her. Guide her carefully, and be her source of constant Peace.
