Zoie McGuyer | Florence High School Senior

Shoots like mine with Zoie McGuyer only happen every so often. In a dream world, they would happen daily; however, I’m learning to appreciate such sessions as they come. We spent the entire afternoon hitting some different spots around town, and (in my opinion), truly creating magic. Zoie’s parents are involved in the art / design world, so they not only helped plan the shoot, they also helped style and create some of the amazing shots we got. And Zoie, well, she might as well just ditch college and take on the modeling world. This session was fun, creative, and lit a fire in me that I was needing reignited. I’m grateful for the opportunity to work with such cool humans, and to get to spend time with a high school senior that seems to have the world pretty dang figured out. Zoie is vibrant and warm. She’s full of fire, but calm at the same time. I loved capturing her personality throughout this session, and my hope is that it translated through my lens. This girl has the world at her fingertips, and I cannot wait to see what she does with it!

“My favorite high school memory is being apart of the FAFA Dance Company. The friendships i’ve built within this company is so awesome and I will forever cherish the opportunities it has given me.” - Zoie

“My parents are the most influential people in my life. They've shown me what hard work and determination can lead too and I will forever be grateful for how much they show their love for me.” - Zoie

“Although I don’t have a set college I want to attend yet, I do plan on going to college and majoring in dance with a minor in business.” - Zoie

Lord,

I thank You for the opportunities that You seem to keep presenting me with. This path that You have designed for me brings me so much joy, and pushes me to keep striving to be better each time I pick my camera up. I pray that my work continues to glorify You and the beauty that You have created on this planet and within these special souls that I get to work with. Speaking of special- You did big with Zoie. She is everything and then some. I can only imagine the plans that You have for her as she leaves home and embraces her independence. I pray that You watch closely over her, and give her Your Peace as she learns to makes her own way in this world. Guide her carefully along the path that You so perfectly designed just for her. I am so excited to see what all You have in store.

Amen.
